Platform is Free
Posting requirements and registering as a tutor costs nothing.
Direct Payments
Fees are agreed and paid directly between student and tutor.
7-Day Window
Disputes must be raised within 7 days of the relevant session.
1. Platform Fees
StudentOn does not currently charge students or tutors any platform fees for posting requirements, creating profiles, or connecting with each other.
The platform is free to use. Therefore, there is no platform fee to refund at this time.
If we introduce paid features in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly and users will be notified in advance.
2. Tutor-Student Transactions
Financial transactions (tuition fees, demo charges, etc.) occur directly between students/parents and tutors. StudentOn is not a party to these transactions.
Students must agree on fee amounts, payment modes, and cancellation terms directly with their tutor before starting classes.
We strongly recommend paying month-to-month or per session rather than paying large sums in advance.
3. Dispute Resolution
If you have a payment dispute with a tutor, please first attempt to resolve it directly with them.
If resolution is not possible, email us at contact@studenton.in within 7 days of the dispute arising. Include your account details, the tutor's profile link, and a description of the issue.
We will attempt to mediate in good faith, but as we are not a party to the financial transaction, our ability to enforce refunds is limited.
Repeated complaints against a tutor may result in their account being reviewed or suspended.
4. Free Demo Classes
StudentOn promotes a 'free first demo class' culture on the platform.
Tutors agree to provide one free demo session before students commit to ongoing tuition.
If a tutor charges for a demo class contrary to this policy, please report it to us immediately.
5. Cancellation
Cancellation and refund terms for ongoing tuition are agreed directly between the student and tutor.
We recommend a written agreement (even via WhatsApp message) on notice periods and refund terms before committing to a tutor.
